Leaving a trial of droplets as its yellow-painted feet break the water's surface, a Little Egret Egretta garzetta patters across a lagoon in pursuit of its prey. Little Egrets, beautiful birds and efficient hunters are a joy to observe and photograph, their immaculate white plumage sets them well apart from other wetland species.
